From underground basements to rural towns, my path as a film programmer has been shaped by the belief that cinema can create spaces for collective reflection, connection, and imagination. I began programming while studying Media & Arts at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, co-founding Cinema Sotterraneo and transforming the school’s basement into a screening space for experimental films, where student works were shown alongside established directors.
Since then, I have continued to curate non-fiction film programmes that explore the social, political, and emotional potential of cinema — often beyond conventional venues. Whether in educational contexts, rural communities, or international festivals, I understand film programming as a situated and communal act that can restore collective memory, decentralize culture, and spark conversations that imagine alternate realities and create new shared imaginaries.
Here are some experiences as Film Programmer:
I have also been part of several juries, such as:

Here are some experiences as Film Programmer:
- Co-founder & Curator, Les Filmines (CAT) (2023-present) – Monthly rural screenings in the Catalan countryside, combining cinema, food, and community dialogue. Focused on rural narratives and locally relevant themes, screenings take place one Wednesday a month at the Teatre del Molí de l’Esperança. Admission is free thanks to support from the local council and includes talks by local residents, informal discussions, and tastings of local products related to each film.
- Film programmer, DocsBarcelona (CAT) (2022-present) – Program Coordinator (2021-2024).
- Guest curator, Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen (NLD, 2024) – Curated The Last Ones Will Last Forever, a programme on rural life, women’s labour, and land care. The films travel from the invisible domestic work of women in 1960s rural Italy, to the manual labour of Ñomndaa weavers in Mexico; from the magical realism of past lives of women excluded from certain spaces in 15th-century Portugal, to a collective in Amsterdam learning to grow food through mutual support. After the screening we hosted an exchange event of non-GMO seeds with artists Müge Yilmaz and Sol Archer.
- Film programmer, Memorimage (ES) (2023), VOC – Premis i Mostra d’Audiovisual en Català (CAT) (2020-2022), FICVI – Festival Internacional de Curtmetratges de Vila-seca (ES) (2022), among others.
I have also been part of several juries, such as:
- D’A FILM FESTIVAL – Un impulso colectivo shorts (2023)
- PRE-SELECTION SHORTS GAUDÍ AWARDS (2024)
- FESTIVAL PLA – International Competition (2025)
